  1. As you might imagine, I use scissors a LOT! When I was asked by Jen at Little T’s Haberdashery if I would like to review a pair of the scissors from her new website, I jumped at the chance.

I received a parcel through the post a few days later containing a pair of Grunwerg 8.5” Dressmaking Scissors. The package itself was a small box inside a waterproof envelope and the scissors were well packed in bubble wrap. I especially liked the sticker on the box that proclaimed that it was “Happy Post” and told me to “Open with a Grin”, I certainly did!

    Scissors

The scissors I received have titanium coated stainless steel scratch resistant blades and according to the packaging, they are 3 times stronger than stainless steel. This is great for me as I often cut through multiple layers of fabric and some other scissors I have used have not coped with this.

I have been using these scissors for a few days now and am really impressed. They are lovely and sharp and have made cutting out much easier and a lot more comfortable. I suffer from arthritis after breaking my right (cutting!) hand in an accident when I was 18. I often find that if I’m cutting out a lot of fabric, my hand aches and becomes painful. I am very happy to report that this has not been the case with these scissors as they have ergonomic handles which also have a soft safety grip and I’ve found them very comfortable.

These scissors are available here, for the very reasonable price of £4.49. There’s also lots of other useful sewing related equipment on the Little T’s Haberdashery website, so if you are at all crafty, then you should definitely go and take a look.

I received these scissors free of charge for the purpose of this review, but all opinions are my own.
